Payment Methods

Save a credit card on file to pay invoices in one click or to renew services automatically. Cards are tokenized and stored with our payment processor, not on our servers.

Adding a Credit Card

  1. Log into the Client Area.
  2. From the top menu, choose BillingPayment Methods.
  3. Click Add New Credit Card.
  4. Enter the card number, expiry, CVV, and billing address.
  5. Click Save Changes. The card is tokenized by our payment processor and stored as a secure reference. We never see or store the full card number.
About card storage Ultra Web Hosting uses Intuit QuickBooks Payments as its card processor. When you add a card, it is transmitted to QuickBooks over HTTPS and replaced with a non-reversible token that we keep on file. The full card number never touches our servers.

Setting a Default Card

If you have more than one card saved, the one marked Default is used for automatic renewals and is pre-selected when you pay an invoice manually.

  1. Open BillingPayment Methods.
  2. Click the card you want as your default.
  3. Click Make Default.

Removing a Card

  1. Open BillingPayment Methods.
  2. Click the card you want to remove.
  3. Click Delete Card.

If the card you delete was your default, the next card on file becomes the default automatically. If it was your only card, automatic renewal will be disabled until you add a new one.

Automatic Renewal

When automatic renewal is enabled, our system charges your default card on the invoice due date. You will still receive an emailed receipt.

  1. Open Hello, [Your Name] menu in the top right and choose Account Details.
  2. Scroll to Auto Renewal Settings.
  3. Check Automatic Renewals and click Save Changes.
Tip To turn auto-renewal on or off for a single service rather than the whole account, see Managing Services.

Updating an Expiring Card

If you receive an email saying your card is about to expire, or a renewal payment failed because of an expired card:

  1. Open BillingPayment Methods.
  2. Click the expiring card and update the expiry month and year (and CVV, if you have a new physical card).
  3. Click Save Changes.
  4. If a renewal already failed, go to My Invoices, open the unpaid invoice, and click Pay Now. The updated card will be available to select.
