Using Webmail
Webmail lets you read, compose, and manage email directly in your browser — no desktop software required. Ultra Web Hosting provides Roundcube as the default webmail application.
Accessing Webmail
There are two ways to open webmail:
Option 1: Direct URL
Open your browser and go to:
https://yourdomain.com:2096
Log in with your full email address (e.g. you@yourdomain.com) and your email password.
Option 2: From cPanel
- Log into cPanel.
- Go to Email Accounts.
- Find the email account and click Check Email.
- Roundcube will open automatically in a new tab.
Roundcube Overview
Roundcube is a modern, full-featured webmail client. Here is a quick tour of the interface:
- Inbox — Your main view. Click any message to read it in the preview pane, or double-click to open it in a new window.
- Compose — Click the Compose button (or press
N) to write a new email. You can add attachments, format text with HTML, and add CC/BCC recipients. - Folders — The left sidebar shows your mailbox folders: Inbox, Drafts, Sent, Junk, and Trash. You can create custom folders to organise your mail.
- Contacts — Manage your address book. You can add contacts manually or import them from a CSV or vCard file.
- Settings — Customise the display layout, set up an email signature, create message filters, and configure auto-reply (vacation) messages.
Setting Up an Email Signature
- In Roundcube, click Settings in the top navigation.
- Select Identities from the left menu.
- Click your email address to edit the default identity.
- In the Signature text area, type your signature. Toggle the HTML signature checkbox if you want to use formatting.
- Click Save.
Setting Up an Auto-Reply (Vacation Message)
- In Roundcube, go to Settings → Filters.
- Click Vacation (or create a new filter with the "Vacation" action).
- Enter the subject and body of your auto-reply message.
- Set the interval (how often the same sender receives the auto-reply).
- Enable the filter and click Save.
Managing Folders
- In Roundcube, go to Settings → Folders.
- Click the + icon at the bottom to create a new folder.
- Give the folder a name and choose a parent folder if you want to nest it.
- Click Save.
To move messages into a folder, select them in your Inbox and drag them to the target folder, or right-click and choose Move to.
Searching Your Mailbox
Use the search bar at the top of the message list. You can search by sender, subject, or full message body. Click the dropdown arrow next to the search box to choose which fields to search and which folder to search in.
